Description

"translate" is used in hive to replace characters in strings. Works in Hive but not in Impala:
wzxsap11.wpoc.kp.org:21000] > select translate(med_ord_date, "/", "-") from asthma_acute;
Query: select translate(med_ord_date, "/", "-") from asthma_acute
ERROR: AnalysisException: translate unknown
