Description

Currently we have 2 authentication provider plugins in the codebase which go largely unused: a basic username/password provider and one for Kerberos.

What we need:

• Create authentication metadata plugins with user interfaces and serialization
• Make use of the authentication metadata in the form of plugins and options ([x] authenticate at software start, ...)
