[HOP-2434] When reloading project variables they are not refreshed

Description

When you add/edit variables on project level the question is asked "Do you want to reload this project to apply changed variables"

When pressing "yes" the project variables are not actually reloaded, the old values remain when changing a value for a variable.

Workaround: switching projects in the drop down does reload the variables
