In a fresh copy of hop, a pipeline will fail to run without a project.

    Description

      Hop should always start with a default, local environment for everything out of the box. If you start a fresh copy of hop and then create a pipeline with transform steps and try to run the transform, an error message is thrown demanding a local config. — However, you can preview, and that will work (mostly)-- will file another bug for preview.
