    • Remotely connecting from a Windows machine via JDBC to Hive installed on Linux Kernel-2.6.18-glibc-2.5 x86_64 64bit

    Description

      When our software sends a CREATE TABLE command to HIVE via JDBC, a Statement.updateQuery() statement is issued which results in a Method Not Supported exception. We did not get this error in the previous version of Hive (0.7.1). Please advise, did something change within the 0.8 JDBC driver, is a statement like this no longer supported?
