Description
Currently the volume scanner only allows scheduling volume checks asynchronously. There are some cases where using the current thread to do a synchronous scan of the volume would be useful. For example, when a container fails a scan, we would like to use the container scanner thread do a volume check to make sure the issue is specific to the container, and fail the volume otherwise.
