    Description

If guacenc had the ability to write it's output to stdout, it would make it easy to stream the output as a file download while encoding it at the same time. The use-case I see for this is for offering users the ability to download recordings of sessions in a playable format without having to waste resources encoding each file (most of which will probably never be downloaded). It would have the added benefit that when a user clicks "download" they would not have to wait for the encoding the complete even in a currently open/running session; it could start to stream the download to the browser as it was being encoded. This also opens the door for the user to pick their own custom encoding settings for resolution/bitrate before starting the download.
