Switch CLI from Commons CLI to something else

    Description

      This is a place holder issue for the problem if replacing the CLI infrastructure in Groovy. Commons CLI is no longer a viable choice. Alternatives are:

      1. Wrapper around JCommander.
      2. Wrapper around Arg4j.
      3. Groovy system along the lines of Python's Argparse.

      1 has had some work done on it resulting in JCommanderScript. 3 has had some work but nothing truly tangible. 2 has been proposed but there is no known active work, as yet.
