TSR-like behaviour, whereas a persistent server runs the scripts rather than starting a new process everytime. Would eliminate startup time issues, and allow groovy to be effectively used for batch processes on *nixes.

    Description

TSR-like behaviour, whereas a persistent server runs the scripts rather than starting a new process every time. Would eliminate startup time issues, and allow groovy to be effectively used for batch processes on *nixes. This would obviously be limited to command-line usage groovy (i.e., the groovy command).
