Description

per the discussion on the user mailing list in early February (I'd link but the archive appears to be broken at the moment) here's a patch to freshen the maven-generated web site. highlights include:

o removing links to old source releases
o adding "Getting Involved" section on front page
o removing download section from front page (it's got its own page)
o adding a news item

there are a lot of smaller changes, too. you can see the results at http://www.caboteria.org/~tobyc/g6o-docs/ .
