Description
I am getting the following error while running flume on production instances:
# # A fatal error has been detected by the Java Runtime Environment: # # SIGSEGV (0xb) at pc=0x00007fa38a2bbd81, pid=2830, tid=0x00007fa223474700 # # JRE version: OpenJDK Runtime Environment (8.0_252-b09) (build 1.8.0_252-b09) # Java VM: OpenJDK 64-Bit Server VM (25.252-b09 mixed mode linux-amd64 compressed oops) # Problematic frame: # C [libz.so.1+0x2d81] # # Failed to write core dump. Core dumps have been disabled. To enable core dumping, try "ulimit -c unlimited" before starting Java again # # An error report file with more information is saved as: # /tmp/hs_err_pid2830.log # # If you would like to submit a bug report, please visit: # http://bugreport.java.com/bugreport/crash.jsp # The crash happened outside the Java Virtual Machine in native code. # See problematic frame for where to report the bug. #
That is happening at least once a day on at least one of the instances.
What libz library are you using on production environments. For more information:
- I am using the lastest flume version
- The zlib package information is:
$ yum provides */libz.so Failed to set locale, defaulting to C Loaded plugins: priorities, update-motd, upgrade-helper 64 packages excluded due to repository priority protections zlib-devel-1.2.8-7.18.amzn1.x86_64 : Header files and libraries for Zlib development Repo : amzn-main Matched from: Filename : /usr/lib64/libz.so
