Description

This build failed (not exclusively) due to SortMergeResultPartitionReadSchedulerTest.testCreateSubpartitionReader. The assert checking that the SortedMergeSubpartitionReader is in running state fails.

My suspicion is that the condition in SortMergeResultPartitionReadScheduler.mayTriggerReading (or something related to that condition) needs to be reconsidered since that's the only time isRunning is actually set to true.
