Description

Based on the attached benchmarks, date and currency formatter performance on Windows show that the Spark formatter is typically 2X faster than MX. On OSX, Spark performance is 8-9X slower. Performance is quite bad on OSX in absolute terms as well. Applying a formatter 1000 times takes nearly a second. Many "enterprise" applications put at least as many dates and currencies on the screen with DataGrid.
