[FLEX-14898] TypeError #1009 after item selection from displayed menu or submenu. Only when menuShow event is used.

Description

Found in Flex SDK 3.0.1.1954 (from Thu Jun 05, 2008).

Steps to reproduce:
1. Build the attached project.
2. Run the application and right click on the text. When the menu is displayed, select MenuItem B or MenuItem C.
3. Error #1009 is thrown.

Actual Results: Error #1009 is thrown :
TypeError: Error #1009: Cannot access a property or method of a null object reference.
at mx.controls::FlexNativeMenu/itemSelectHandler()[E:\dev\3.0.x\frameworks\projects\airframework\src\mx\controls\FlexNativeMenu.as:1633]
at flash.display::NativeMenu/_display()
at flash.display::NativeMenu/display()
at flash.display::InteractiveObject/onContextMenuEvent()
and itemClick event is not dispatched.

Expected Results: No errors.

This happens only when menuShow event is used.
