See e.g. https://micrometer.io for what this issue is all about.

The goal is just to get "standard" out-of-the-box metrics support working seamlessly and automagically on Cloud Providers such as GCP (e.g. for https://www.fineract.dev), but not Custom Metrics - yet, although others could build those on top of this initial feature, later.

Perhaps it could be neat if /actuator/metrics allow easily "seeing" those with a development Spring Profile locally for testing and a YouTube demo? In production, e.g. on https://demo.fineract.dev/fineract-provider/actuator/, this should NEVER be enable however, of course.
