After thinking about this some more, I think the default configuration for Main should set the auto-deploy actions to "install, start" and not include "update"...at the time I set it originally, I was doing some shell bundle development so it seemed handy, but I think generally it probably makes sense to not do it this way and have people add "update" if they are doing updates to the bundles in the auto-deploy directory.
