Description

Note: This JIRA report is/was intended in part for for tracking specific noticed differences between Drill and standard SQL (not necessarily differences we've already decided to fix), and also in part as a reminder of this likelihood of running into problems with tools that we care about (even that set of problems isn't known now).

Drill's INFORMATION_SCHEMA is not fully compliant with SQL:2011.

INFORMATION_SCHEMA.COLUMNS (as opposed to other INFORMATION_SCHEMA.* tables/views ).

Notes (to be edited/triaged/etc):

• INFORMATION_SCHEMA.INFORMATION_SCHEMA_CATALOG_NAME does not exist.
• Short-name views of existing tables (e.g., TABLES_S for TABLES) do not exist.
• (Most standard-specified tables/views do not exist, but many probably aren't relevant for Drill.)
