    Description

Searching using "" base DN returns no results, it requires the base DN to be in a partition.

For example if I have two partitions :

      • dc=prd,dc=berbatik,dc=com
      • dc=stg,dc=berbatik,dc=com

It's not possible to search entries using the following base DNs:

      1. ""
      2. dc=com
      3. dc=berbatik,dc=com

Currently it's needed to use at least the full partitionSuffix or a sub-entry.

My use case is searching data held in several parititions at once, using only one LDAP search query.
