Revamp the demo programs so that they can be run from the module path

    Description

      Right now the demo programs are run from the classpath. We should show how to use them with the module path which will be introduced by the work on DERBY-6945. In particular, the SimpleApp and the workwithderby apps involve classes which live in the root directory of the package space. Classes are not allowed in the root directory when using jigsaw modules.
