      Description

      The parser is able to return the current line number of the file, it should also be able to return the record number.

        Maybe the number should also be stored in the record?

        The counter should be the same type (long, int) as the line number.

        Yes excellent idea.

        I see a few questions:

        1. do we start the record number at 0 or 1?
        2. do we start counting with the header or after the header?
