Description
CouchDB 1.2.2 is built by following the guides from http://onabai.wordpress.com/2012/05/10/installing-couchdb-1-2-in-ubuntu-12-04/ site and it is built on Ubuntu 12.04 (64 bit) and 12.10 (32 bit) desktop versions. Both Ubuntu versions are upgraded to the latest releases.
When couchdb is started from terminal with the 'couchdb -b' command, then it can be stopped with the 'couchdb -d' command. But when it is started as a service, script for stopping the service does not function. When 'sudo service couchdb stop' is executed (or 'sudo /etc/int.d/couchdb stop', it doesn't matter), the service is terminated, but after approximattely 5sec it is started again.
