    Description

      The XAR archive format definition can be found at https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Xar_(archiver)

       

      There are a couple of Java based implementations but they seem to be no longer maintained. Also, they have external dependencies that may no longer be required if relying in JDK utility classes and facilities exposed by commons-compress
