Description
In the platform upgrade guides (e.g. here and here), there should be some mention of the fact that, when you're upgrading projects that don't use the Cordova CLI, you need to incorporate any changes to the cordova/defaults.xml file.
For example, I recently upgraded an iOS project from 3.8.0 to 4.0.1. There were several changes to defaults.xml, including things like <feature name="HandleOpenUrl">, but they're not added by the upgrade script. Without them, the behavior breaks in mysterious ways.
