Description

I think that 2.2 needs to satisfy Java 1.7 language level. However, there are a few places where newer syntax is used:

• MessagingService
• ExecutorUtils
• Throwables
• YamlConfigurationLoader
• YamlConfigurationLoaderTest

If I'm right and we really need 1.7 language level we should fix those, which seems quite straightforward.
