Description

kotlin API was provided as experimental but it was not picked by the community. The creator of it is no more active in the community. it is taking a fair part of the build time (without tests) between 10 and 20%.

the idea is to deprecate the Kotlin API so that it can be removed in next version. it will reduce codebase size, improving maintainability and decrease build time on each PR and each build on CIs.
