Hi!

In https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/HADOOP-16647 support for Openssl 1.1.1 was added and backported to branch-3.3. The commit is the following:

Given that 1.5 will run on distributions where Openssl 1.1.1 will be the only option available (like Debian 10) it would be great to add this commit as patch on top of 2.10 (my understanding is that this is the Hadoop target version for 1.5).

The author of the commit is iwasakims that should also be in BigTop as far as I can see from the mailing list, so I'd like to get his opinion too

If everybody agrees I'll file a pull request and do some testing as well.
