      Pretty trivial patch attached. Please take a look. Note that getting this binary instead of installing the package is what Node community stands behind.

      that will not work for Power as node 0.10.44 is not supported, v4.4.6 is. We need a more generic (platform independent) way to install node .
      Let me think about it, I should be able to fix that, at least for Power. Roman do you know what version is supported for ARM?

      Good point about Power and ARM. Ambari is still stuck with 0.10 but you can help them getting to v4 AMBARI-18245

      Also, node is a compile-time dependency for Ambari so perhaps we can come up with some clever way of caching the result of preprocessing all of that JavaScript and share it between builds.

      Just some thoughts.
