      Description

Maven groovy we are using in Maven build is set back to 2.1.8. This is a pretty old one, so let's move to that 2.4.4 line to be aligned with the version of runtime, the project packs. Unfortunately, groovy plugin for for 2.4.4 isn't available as it is still on 2.4.3. And the version of other plugins like groovy-eclipse-batch are still at 2.4.3-01 as well. To avoid too many changes, let's bump groovy to 2.4.3 which would be close enough to the runtime.

The old version of Groovy in the root pom.xml was also affecting IDEA GroovyConsole, where the code was throwing
        NoClassDefFoundError: org/codehaus/groovy/runtime/typehandling/ShortTypeHandling
        This patch addresses the issue.

Here's the fix. Works with running usual maven test-artifacts install
