Doesn't seem to be reproducible in the CI anymore.

I have just seen PermGen issue in one of the build on the CI. Hence, I will open a separate ticket for that and move Giri's patch there for the commit.

In the interest of full disclosure: the proposed patch might deprive the package from some of the site files, but it looks like we don't use any of them anyway.

I have a "solution", which is albeit hawkish allows to produce a solud Pig package.
I don't see this problem in the official Bigtop CI builds, but in case we step on it, the patch is available.

I am running clean build, using either centos or ubuntu and the forrest failed with a very different message, as explained in the very first comment. I presume OOME might be legit as well. However, let's deal with it in a separate JIRA - this one isn't getting caused by OOME.

          1) The build is based on CentOS 6.4 VM.
          2) The OOM issue can be reproduced.

As a side note, is the build environment be clean or legacy ? If build failed once, need to remove Bigtop_Home/build/pig folder and apply the patch prior to again build.

          Hopefully help! Thanks!

Doesn't work for me - I don't see OOM actually. What I see is missing or not-generated documents.
          I've tried to do
          echo "forrest.maxmemory=1024m" >> src/docs/forrest.properties
          Did you do something differently?

I have seen this before, and bumping up the forrest heap solved this issue for me. Uploading a patch for the same
