Description

A checksum allows us to validate and ignore missing/corrupt journal files (both of which are optional). It is too late to enable checksumJournalFiles after the fact of corruption. Best to have it on by default and take the small performance penalty so that in the rare event of corruption we have some options. Folks who don't care about the integrity of the journal can disable it.
