Description

At times hosts move to Invalid state and restart of components throw "Host role in invalid state".
One way to fix this issue is to ssh into the hosts and run ambari-agent restart

Ambari web interface being single point to manage cluster must provide option to restart ambari-agent. It looses its purpose if one has to manually ssh into the hosts.
