Program aborts on startssl. Apache built on a SunFire V210 SunOS 5.8
Is there a workaround ? Anything to do with --disable-ipv6 ?

This is essentially the same problem as bug 27525 -- a resolver which is not
configured properly.  Follow the instructions in bug 27525 comment 8.
