I get an interaction box I can't close that offers me alternative choice tabs to click, neither of which works. The box will not close.

It reads:

The last time you opened OpenOffice Beta, it unexpectedly quit while reopening windows. Do you want to try to reopen its windows again?

If you choose not to reopen windows, you may have to open and position the windows yourself.

This is a known issue with MaxOSX see issue 119006. Also See this post on the user forum for detailed instructions: https://forum.openoffice.org/en/forum/viewtopic.php?f=17&t=55755#p244931

The version field of this issue should probably not be 4.1.0 but 4.0.1? Please check the version in the "About OpenOffice" window available from the OpenOffice menu.
