Description
It would be great if we would have a build script that works for the core team to help us create releases. Ideally, just running that command should be enough, and the rest of the release procedure would be quality insurance and the manual things Apache requires. A script (shell or ruby or whatever) here is probably easier and quicker than keep fighting Maven for every purpose. Such a script doesn't have to be platform independent nor easy install, as long as it is something that can be repeated easily and quickly by the core members who want to be involved in the release process.
