Description

It would be helpful if adding a feature structure reference to a CAS for a feature structure that does not exist in that CAS failed quickly and with a clear exception as to the cause.

In my case I had two CASes and referred to a feature structure in one from a feature structure in another. The exception was a cryptic NPE in BinaryCasSerDes4 during CAS serialization.
