Kafka broker fails with not so user-friendly error msg when log.dirs is not set

    Description

      I tried to bring up a Kafka broker without setting log.dirs property and it has failed with the following error.

      Seems like KafkaConfig.scala has this statement where the validation doesn't report any error message.

      This is a minor cosmetic change and I can add an error message if it's so trivial.
