Centos 6.4 with Maven 3.0.5
Description
When anyone downloads Drill master branch source code using "Download ZIP" button on github.com page, there is no git.properties file created under target/classes causing the build to fail with following issue. The commandline used is "mvn -DskipTests package"

If the source code is checked out using git clone command, this issue is not encountered.
