DERBY-3628,
The Derby Tools and Utilities Guide, tools/ctoolsij25986.html, could, perhaps,
use some mentioning or example of the continuation marker when it speaks
about the need to terminate "statements" or "commands" (one could also say
"queries") with a semicolon.
The continuation marker was added for
DERBY-2255;
DERBY-3628 requests an improvement of it. The documentation should reflect any additional work that is done.
DERBY-3629.diff and revised topic ctoolsij25986.html. I've added information about the continuation character that should be generic enough to be correct after the fix to DERBY-3628.I also broke the topic into paragraphs for readability, fixed some punctuation and language, and added a cross-reference to the section on properties, to go with the one for commands.
Please let me know whether any further corrections are needed. Thanks!
