I created a file with a table and formatted elements in each cell.  I saved it
as an OpenOffice file - no problem.  I saved it as a Word 97/2000 file, closed
it, opened again in OO 3.0.1, all data gone, table is reduced to one column. I
opened the OpenOffice version again, saved it as a Word 95 file, closed the
file, opened it again in OO 3.0.1, the table information is gone, but most of
the data is there.

This feature worked well in version 2.4.1

OpenOffice Writer document attached.  Open the file and save it as a Word
97/2000/XP or as a Word 95 or Word 6.0 format. None work.

Confirming with OOO310m1 - as described. Might be dup of 
http://www.openoffice.org/issues/show_bug.cgi?id=99451

It looks, that both -issue 99024 and issue 99451- are responsible for this
problem. Both are fixed in CWS hb19 which will be integrated soon in OOO310 branch.
However, a problem with the table in the footer remains.

MRU->HBRINKM: export attached odt to WW8 and reopen -> the cells on the right of
the footer are not merged anymore.
