Apache OpenOffice (AOO) Bugzilla – Issue 99729
OpenOffice Improvement program: Gather information on rulers usage
Last modified: 2017-05-20 10:22:24 UTC
It would be great to collect information on ruler usage. Last week I proposed to hide the rulers by default in Writer, arguing that most people don't use the rulers. See my argumentation here: http://www.johannes-eva.net/index.php?page=ooo_hidden_ruler And see Issue 99284 and Issue 99286 Discussing it on the ux-discuss mailing list, it appeared that we had no real information about the usage of the rulers. Christoph Noack suggested that it would be interesting to have real numbers about the usage of the rulers, and maybe it would be possible through the improvement program. If it is possible, it would be interesting to know what percentage of users click on the rulers (left & right click + drag tabs). PS. Björn, I assigned you to this issue, as I saw you're assigned to all related issues. I don't know if it's a good idea, please tell me if it wasn't very polite/adapted!
