Description thb 2009-02-03 17:28:24 UTC
Insert a sound and/or video with sound into a presentation. Play slideshow using
presenter screen. Sound is played twice, with some luck producing a noticeable
echo. So I guess presenter screen should disable media, or at least mute sound...
Comment 1 wolframgarten 2009-02-04 08:49:43 UTC
Reproducible. Reassigned.
Comment 2 groucho266 2009-02-04 09:32:10 UTC
@THB: How can I disable sound? After all the presenter console only registers a
second XSlideShowView. The actual painting and media playback is triggered by
the slide show. Is there some way to prevent sound playback? Turning off video
playback might also be a good idea on slower machines.
Comment 3 thb 2009-02-04 11:03:15 UTC
@af, nah, currently not. If you want to have a shot at it: add another slideshow
property in SlideShowImpl::setProperty(), and forward that to the MediaShape
(you might also want to check the other available options for applicability in
the presenter screen, e.g. NoSlideTransitions).

close as duplicate
Comment 9 groucho266 2009-06-05 09:01:51 UTC
Reopening because CMC probably closed the wrong issue. This one is not set
duplicate to another and it also has not been verified in a CWS that is ready
for QA.
