Description james_kniskern 2008-07-19 00:47:25 UTC
When opening Calc or Writer, the following errors occur:

Error loading of BASIC of document file:///C:pathnamehere
General Error.
General input/output error.

This above error is repeated when pushing the OK button.

After pressing the second OK button, the program loads.

Both of these errors windows come up behind the browser windows, and do not show
up on the program bar either.

Other than that I haven't had any problems.

james_kniskern,
I don't know how to reproduce it, please confirm it in the latest build.

Hi james_kniskern,
Would you please provide a more specific description(step by step
instruction), and tell us on what condition this issue will occur.
I can't reproduce you problem on my computer.

This happens very commonly after upgrading. See my notes at
http://qa.openoffice.org/issues/show_bug.cgi?id=59890

In a little survey around our offices, more OpenOffice installations *had* this
problem, than *did not* have it.

duplicate in any case. I personally only know this from people who were using a
go-oo/distribution version of OOo at some point that "corrupted" the
configuration data (i.e. caused wrong paths). Clean the user profile and the
error will be gone.

closing issue. Doesn't make sense to have multiple issues dealing with the same
thing, even more so when there is no reproducible szenario.

closing issue.
