Description jamescrompton 2007-12-09 15:08:12 UTC
The field command for the title of a spreadsheet document displays the document
file name, not the title as entered in the document properties.

Not just the title,

(1) any text user defined field in teh header or footer displays as "0" when the
document is opened.

(2) If the field is deleted and reinserted with "show variable" then it
displays ok until the document is saved and reopened.

(3) The exception to this bug is when the field is declared as a text field and
the contents are single numeral, then the field displays okay.

(4) This behavior is also noted in text boxes as well as the header and footer
but does not occur in main body of the document.

There is some misunderstanding here. "Title " here does not mean them string from menu 'Fie -> Properties', but the file name without extensions, what often is called "Title.

For more details and related issues see "Issue 124746 - (NameInstead) Replace "Title" by "Name" for file names".
