Apache OpenOffice (AOO) Bugzilla – Issue 823
Open Office configure.in proof of concept
Last modified: 2003-03-12 14:40:49 UTC
I have been working on a reworked configure.in script , which essentially is just 625 cat configure.in set_soenv.1 > configure.in , plus hours of converting perl into sh. The benifit of integrating these two, is the ability to move closer towards a proper configure script. This script is not a masterpiece, but only a proof of concept. I do intend to take it futher, however it would be good to get others idea's on this. As yet it probably only runs on IRIX, so I will attach my previous IrixMipsEnv.set and the resulting IrixMipsEnv.set. They do not correlate exactly as yet, as I have yet to clean it up, but that would be my aim.

hi! could you please subscribe to and post them to dev@porting.openoffice.org? I'd liek to get a bit wider feedback on them...
Created attachment 213 [details] Not quite ready for consumption, but should at least run platforms other than Winnt

I figure the best thing to do from here is create a few AC_DEFINE's to clean the last part up.
Created attachment 215 [details] configure.in that should get us on our way, providing essentially what set_soenv.1 did
Created attachment 216 [details] And here is what I came up with on IRIX

mh->nick: I have no idea what is the current status of configure for Irix, but I guess we can close this. If you might have further enhancements please let's discuss with Ken of dev@tools
This was a very early 'lets-get-rid-of-setsoenv' effort by zeroj, it is very old now, and Ken is doing pretty much this, so lets close this.
As mentioned on the qa dev list on March 5th I will close all resolved <wontfix/duplicate/worksforme/invalid> issues. Please see this posting for details. First step in IssueZilla is unfortunately to set them to verified.
