Apache OpenOffice (AOO) Bugzilla – Issue 81392
Incorrect chart display
Last modified: 2013-02-24 21:21:37 UTC
Calc graph details appear different to what is intended as per URL http://mysite.mweb.co.za/residents/rcolyn/fishhoek/ under rainfall data. A friend downloaded OO.org and they opened an existing Microsoft Excel spreadsheet. The graph that was displayed was not as per the graph on the above link. File available. Please contact hylton@conacher.co.za
Created attachment 48065 [details] M$ file that was displayed in OO.org
Web url is how file is supposed to look.
The reporter doesn't say what is wrong, but because he uses 2.2.1 I guess it is the missing right-angle axes option in the old chart. I've tested it with OOo2.3.0rc2. Right-angle axes option is OK now, but there are other errors: (1) Zero values are missing. (2) Border lines are too thick. (3) Label text has fixed position. (4) Illumination is different from Excel. Using ambient light 'gray 20%' and light source 'gray 60%' would give an illumination which is much closer to that of Excel. I think that there are already issues for items (1),(2), and (3), but I cannot find them. Illumination should be better chosen on import.
Hi Daniel, pls have a look.
(1) issue 81392 (2) IHA: what do you think? Some lines are 2 points, some are 1 point. (3) issue 83372 (4) we have to find a setting for all kinds of 3d charts, will try to improve this. new: import/export number format of data point labels (Excel: no decimal places)
(2) see issue 84660 improved 3d light settings as suggested. added import/export of data point number formatting. fixed in SRC680/dr58 (OOo 2.4)
sorry, typo... (1) see issue 84654
update: (2) see issue 83151
