Apache OpenOffice (AOO) Bugzilla – Issue 78156
Not possible to print multiple pages per sheet in OOo Draw
Last modified: 2011-04-05 08:22:50 UTC
I frequently use Microsoft publisher to design and print postcards that we receive from clients. We are trying to move to Open Office in our systems, and this is one feature that is preventing this. In publisher, it is possible to layout multiple pages per sheet, under the printing options dialog.
The only option I found is an option of the printer and not of the office. Please tell me where I can find the option you mentioned to reproduce the missing feature.

I've attached screenshots of that dialog in CorelDraw12. It has a lot of such settings. This dialog belongs to CorelDraw12 not to my printer.
Is this a dialog in the kind you mean? Because I looked for a similar dialog in the MS Publisher and I can't find one. If you mean another dialog please tell me where I can find the dialog and/or send me a screenshot.
I think I found the dialogs you mean. One part is in the papeer settings and one in the print dialog. You are right. this is an enhancement. as a work around you can use our Business Card Dialog -> File / New / Business Cards or you can select 'Tile pages' in the Options of the printer Dialog. With 'Tile pages OOo prints the page as often as it fits on the sheet.

I attached the screenshots from publisher (I don't speak german, though they do look similar). The top screenshot shows the options available from File, Page Setup. The second screenshot shows the options available when you press "Change copies per sheet" in the prior menu, or under the print dialog. The second screenshot is the feature that I'm speaking of. By making a postcard (say 5.5" x 4.25") in publisher, I can then go into the change copies per sheet, remove any margins, and have it laid out 2 by 2.
Since OOo 3.3 the print dialog has a feature to print multiple pages on one. Please have a look whether that fits your needs.
