Apache OpenOffice (AOO) Bugzilla – Issue 67847
Pasting turned 3D-object from scene with centric projection changes size of the object
Last modified: 2017-05-20 11:29:57 UTC
- Take a Draw document. - Insert a cylinder from the toolbar “3D objectsâ€. - Change perspective to parallel projection. - Copy cylinder and give it another color for to distinguish it from the first one. You have two scenes, the cylinders have identical size. - Turn second cylinder with about 60° around right axis. (That’s the point!) - Chance perspective to centric projection for the second cylinder. - Copy second scene or cylinder (makes no difference) to clipboard. - Enter first scene and paste cylinder from clipbord. - Turn pasted cylinder back. - Leave scene. - Change perspective to parallel projection if it is necessary. You see, that the pasted cylinder has the wrong size.
Hi regina, Is that a new 680m176 issue or can you also see it with stable 2.0? Unfortunately I was not able to reproduce the problem, because I did not understand how to follow your instructions. Can you please ad some details, especially verbatim cited menu and dialogue names? Thanks, Rainer
Hi Rainer, it is an old error, it is wrong in SO7 too. It is an advanced subject. Perhaps you first read http://www.ooowiki.de/DreidimensionaleObjekte.
Created attachment 38120 [details] I add some pictures to the decsription. I hope that it is clearer than.
I checked with "2.0.2 German version WIN XP: [680m5(Build9011)]" and was able to reproduce the problem: the finally pasted "cyl.2" is much bigger than it should be. I will attach a sample file where I left every "development stage" of "cylinder 2" until I paste it into the scene of cylinder 1 (which has been duplicated for better overview).
Created attachment 38122 [details] testfile demonstrating the problem with all intermediate steps for cyl. 2
The problem also will be visible if you paste the last green cylinder into a new scene of a newly inserted 3D object. It also happens if you paste it into any scene of the document except the source scene itself. May be it will help to understand the effect: 0. change paper size to A0 (very much bigger) 1. insert a new small 3d object at bottom right corner 2. enter to scene of latest green cylinder 3. Mark green cylinder in scene 4. Menu "Edit - copy" 5. leave scene using context menu 6. enter scene of new small 3d object 7. paste clipboard the cylinder will be distorted and very much bigger than the "source green cylinder"
Reproducible. Reassigned.
Reset assigne to the default "issues@openoffice.apache.org".
