Apache OpenOffice (AOO) Bugzilla – Issue 49214
CJK: Line spacing interpretation is different between Word and Writer due to text grid
Last modified: 2013-08-07 14:38:26 UTC
Please see attached 109188.doc file (made by yujiro-san). (screenshot is also attached - linespace.gif) This document has '2 lines for line spacing' in left side paragraph in Word. It seems the interpretation of 2 lines spacing is different between Word and Writer, and the apearence is notably different when it's opened in Writer. [2 line spacing for Word]: 2 lines spacing between center of lines. and the first line also has 1 line offset. [2 line spacing for Writer]: 2 lines spacing between bottom and top lines, and the first line has no offset. If I set all of options in Tools->Options->Writer->Compatibility check boxes, then the difference is only first line offset. But it's not the same.
Created attachment 26092 [details] sample for line spacing proglem
Created attachment 26093 [details] s creenshot of Writer/Word to show the difference of line space
The problem is not insisted by a different line spacing - it is due due differently working text grid of Word and Writer. MRU->SBA: this is "Asian text grid" related, please take over.
changed summery from Line spacing interpretation is different between Word and Writer due to text grid to CJK: Line spacing interpretation is different between Word and Writer due to text grid
The line spacing looks much better in Dev300_m50. Still, the top spacing of the "double line" line spacing is different due to text grid.
