Formulæ in Impress should accept styles and be able to be anchored

A formula inserted into an Impress document takes no notice of the surrounding type size. I e, typically you will have something like 32 point text on a slide and then you get a 10-point (or something very small anyway) formula. I have tried various ways to get the formula set in 32-point, but Format->Character… does not seem to make any difference; using size 32 in the formula itself makes it disappear(!).
I had a look at this and found that in the edit mode of the formula OLE (doubleclick it)you can select Format/Fontsize to chnage the fontsize used in the formula. Isn't this working for you?
After a while I got it to work. It turns out that you have to write size 32{x} to get a large x (not indicated by the inserted template). If you write size 32 x the formula box just disappears when you exit the formula editor. Still, this is the wrong way to go about matters - should I for some reason change the font size of the slide text, the formulæ all have to be individually adjusted to the new size, this is clearly undesirable. A separate issue, but even more annoying: it seems the formula is completely independent of the rest of the slide text, it just gets created right in the middle of the slide and then has to be manually moved around and space for it created where it should be in the text. This also requires me to manually adjust things should I change even a single character in the surrounding text.
Whats with Format/Fontsize? Applying styles to OLE objects would be a new feature. As well as anchoring OLEs in text paragraphs. This is implemented in writer but not in impress draw. If there are no problems with changing the fontsize I think I have to close this or change the summary and convert it to an enhancement.
Using Format->Fontsize… gives the same effect as size <?> <?>, doesn't it? Anyway, I still think this is not the right way to do things, so please change this issue to a request for enhancement rather than closing it outright.

Even though it is possible to change the font size manually, in my opinion this should be set to sensible defaults. If the document's text font is set to 18pt Verdana, it creates unnecessary work for the user to have the default formula font at 12pt Times New Roman (for example). This is especially bothersome when changing the document's text font *after* inserting a number of formulas -- the user would then have to go through the whole document and manually adjust font/size. This issue is related to 63181. For anchoring formulas in Impress, see issue 22309, btw.
