Apache OpenOffice (AOO) Bugzilla – Issue 42678
Impossible to combine SOMME and DECALER functions
Last modified: 2013-08-07 15:13:47 UTC
Impossible to combine SOMME and DECALER functions Preliminary note: I am french and use french OOo 1.1.4 version. Involved function names are SOMME and DECALER in french, may be SUM and SHIFT in english. Problem is SOMME and DECALER functions work separetaly. But to write in a cell of an OOo calc-sheet =SOMME(A3:DECALER(A8;-1;0)) appears impossible [the cell references are example] , whatever the way of doing it (import from Excel sheet or direct typing). This is the only way I found not to get trouble when inserting a new line just above a SUM in Excel, and about all my Excel sheets contain such formulas. I discovered that there is a clever way to solve that problem with OOo (tools/options/calc .../extend references when inserting columns or lines), but compatibility in both directions appears to me madatory as long as some of my customers use Excel. I hope to have the correction in next version. I apreciate a lot all the job done by OOo team, and would like to promote this software as large as possible. Regards
Wrong component and Prio much to high. Corrected this. Frank
